Hey, we met up at 3:00 pm yesterday at the Long Leaf Trace entrance at USM. Artonya, Deana, Judy, Melvin and I all walk/ran the trail in preparation for the 5K race on Nomvember 14th. We more than beat our treadmill times and everybody did great on time. Melvin walked the trail and he finished in about 50 minutes. I ended in 41 minutes and the other three, finished well ahead of me and Melvin.
It was a lovely day for the walk, we caught the afternoon sun, so parts of the trail were in the shade but it was not too cold. We just totally enjoyed the afternoon walk and the fellowship.
Also, it was very nice when other runners and walkers passed us they were so encouraging to us. We were wearing our biggest loser T-shirts so even though we were seperated in the walk everyone one on the trail knew we were together. We are going to do this again next Sunday at 3PM.
We had a great time.
